Pine forest at your back, the sea as your front yard, and Himarë close enough to walk to. Run by Mario and his family, kept small on purpose.
The Sea Cave Camping sits in a stretch of pine forest about a kilometer outside Himarë, close enough to walk in for dinner or a night out, and far enough that all you hear is the waves.
It's stayed small on purpose: a handful of tents, shade all day, and a pace that has nothing to do with the busier beaches nearby. This is for people who want to be near nature and near each other: swimming off the rocks by day, cooking and talking by night, without giving up easy access to a real town.
It's a family operation. Mario and his family run it, cook for it, and look after it, and the whole point is that it still feels that way: guests who end up staying a week when they only meant to stay one night, and a camp that knows most people who walk through it by name.
Book your stayYou wake up to the sound of the sea, not traffic. Coffee in the shade, the smell of pine still in the air from the night before. No rush to be anywhere.
No sandy beach to walk to. You swim straight off the rocks and cliffs, into water that's rarely crowded. Sunbeds and shade under the pines when you've had enough sun.
The family can put together a meal for you, often fresh fish, or the open-air kitchen is yours to cook in whenever you like. No set dinner time, no big group table, just food when you want it.
Quiet hours start at 11:30pm. No music blaring, no party crowd, just the pines, the sea, and enough dark sky to remember what stars look like.
A handful of tents, right on the coast. Worth locking in your dates early.
Quiet hours are 11:30pm to 8am. No exceptions, it's most of why people love it here.
It's a small site. We take a limited number of guests at a time so it never turns into a party campground.
Be easy to have around. Mario picks who stays based on that as much as anything else.
You can keep to yourself or join in with the family and other guests. Entirely your call.
"The location is absolutely perfect, peaceful, surrounded by nature. It feels like a hidden gem where you can truly relax and enjoy the sea. Mario, the host, was especially welcoming and friendly."
Sofia, stayed August 2025"Calm, relaxed, without the usual hustle and bustle, just the thing if you want to switch off. A real highlight is the private access to the sea: crystal clear water, never crowded."
Renate, stayed June 2025"You can be on your own or mix with the other guests and the family, as you wish. Mario helped us with a lot of questions about Albania, off the beaten track activities and areas to visit."
Matthias, stayed June 2024About 1 to 1.5 km, a short walk or a couple of minutes' drive. Close enough for dinner or a night out in town, far enough to still feel like you're away from it.
Not directly at the site. You swim off the rocks and cliffs into clear water, with a sea cave nearby worth exploring. If you want sand, Himarë's beaches are a short trip away.
No, tents are set up and ready with a mattress, pillow, and bedsheets. If you'd rather pitch your own, that's welcome too.
Right now, instant booking runs through our Booking.com listing. You can also message Mario directly on WhatsApp to ask about dates. He reviews requests personally rather than confirming everyone automatically.
Swimwear, water shoes for the rocks, a light layer for the evening, and a headlamp or flashlight. It's genuinely dark and quiet at night, which is the point.
It's best for small groups and couples who want a calm atmosphere. Mario keeps guest numbers limited on purpose, so it's worth messaging ahead with your group size.
Yes to both. Wifi is available on site, and you can charge your phone at the bar, which also sells water, drinks, and coffee. A projector goes up sometimes if there's a match on.
Yes, bringing your own food in is fine. You're also welcome to order homemade food from the family or cook in the open-air kitchen.
Parking is about a 10 minute walk from the camp rather than right on site. SUPs (paddleboards) are available to rent if you want to get out on the water.
Rr. Hali, Himarë 9425, Albania, about 1 to 1.5 km from Himarë's center, close to the bus station. The last stretch in is a rough, unpaved approach; parking is about a 10 minute walk from the camp, not right at it.
